Tuitt is playing pro bowl level and a main reason that this season the run Defence is almost the best in the league. Watt is playing DPOY type level, Dupree isn't far off. Haden and Nelson have held up at the corners, very important in todays game , just remember our CB's from 5 years ago for example. Then there is the Minkah effect. Will UG3 get some playing time? I agree. Don't get me wrong, Bush adds a layer of sideline to sideline speed that cannot be replaced. But this idea that he's the most irreplaceable player on the defense doesn't make sense to me at all. It is concerning that UG3 hasn't received a helmet yet but he certainly is the most qualified, from an athletic standpoint, to replace that speed. This team has a chance to really contend this year so I wouldn't be opposed to making a deal for another ILB. Considering our upcoming FA's, the championship window definitely gets a little smaller next year.
MOSteelers56
I think they are talking about his head more than his on field stuff. I'd imagine he's going to be tough to replace because he calls the defenses. Plus, his athletic ability allows them to do a lot more on defense than they will be able to do without him. But Vince Williams has been in the defense longer and has experience making the calls as well. Shouldn't he be able to step in and take over that role? warfelg
I think Spillane is going to be good. If his mental aspect is what I'm curious about. If he can communicate well then this defense might have hope of not dropping off too much. And Spillane might be VWills replacement (although recent comments makes me think VWill either comes back cheap or retires).

I hope he goes into media when he does, he has the personality for it.

Nope. But he said if he can't play for Tomlin he doesn't think he would keep playing.

Too much time thinking of a SB vs Brady in his home stadium with no fans and would we win

I guess we should just be happy we dont have Paul Ernster anymore. Great lawn fertilizer, but terrible punter.

He doesn't excel at it.
jebrick
Teams scheme to have VWill line up vs a WR. Let me know if you are good with that?
