Expand the First Four to become the Bubble Bracket and make it decide all the 11 and 12 seeds tbqh. Make the bubble teams play for it and stop punishing the small conference automatic qualifiers. Four games a day on Tuesday and Wednesday.

You take the bubble teams that are in the First Four Byes, Last Four In, First Four Out and Next Four Out and have a mini 1-16 bracket. First Four Byes is 1-4, middle cats are 5-8 and 9-12, Next Four out is 13-16. Reseed the actual brackets based on results. You can give the best winners from Tuesday the Thursday 11 and 12 slots and the best winners from Wednesday the Friday 11 and 12 slots.

Basically a great idea to make the bubble teams earn their spots while the NCAA prints money lol.

Tuesday
1 vs 16 - If 16 wins, they are a 12 seed on Thursday
4 vs 13 - If 13 wins, they are a 12 seed on Thursday
5 vs 12 - Winner is a 12 unless 13/16 win
8 vs 9 - Winner is an 12 unless 13/16 win

Wednesday
2 vs 15 - If 15 wins, they are a 12 seed on Friday
3 vs 14 - If 14 wins, they are a 12 seed on Friday
6 vs 11 - Winner is a 12 unless 14/15 win
7 vs 10 - Winner is a 12 unless 14/15 win

I think this is a good concept, but the risk is the later known teams for so many slots/seeds puts a damper on the casual people entering pools.  Unfortunately, the draw for non diehard CBB fans is the bracket pools they enter.

NCAA doesn't make money on bracket pools. That's office fodder or stuff you do for free on ESPN. They don't lock the brackets until Thursday's first game on ESPN anyways.

It's about the TV money and treating opening weekend like a week long event rather than two games nobody cares about and 2 bubble games.

TV viewers is the driver.  More casual fans watching to see how there bracket is doing is a catalyst to that.

Literally add a component to the brackets then. Have them pick the 11/12 games and then make their runs. They're not going to lose casuals when they have MORE to choose from. They didn't lose casuals when they added the First Four and made you pick whether or not you wanted to pick VCU or Syracuse or whoever to make a run out of it.

You're overemphasizing the impact that casuals have on it (for the reason you're specifying, at least). FFS, I'm taking off tomorrow, as are multiple friends, to go to bars, get drunk and bet on games. Casuals aren't driving revenue for March Madness due to their brackets lol.

the more games you have as a paired option in filling out the bracket, the less some casuals will fill them out IMO.

Superbowl being a singular event is vastly different than a nearly 3 week long tournament

Fine. It's like saying College Football's Bowl Pick'em is the reason why casual fans tune in to watch Bowl games.

Doesn't matter. Point still stands. They aren't going to lose viewers by putting a better product on the floor. They didn't lose people when they had two games nobody cares about and 2 bubble teams playing. How are they going to lose people when you have better basketball and bigger fan bases in those games?

Once again, you're putting far too much emphasis on a select few in a group of viewers. At this point, they aren't going to revert in money earned. March Madness is damn near as much a national holiday as the Super Bowl is. Droves of people either take off work or tune into games during work. Adding games that end before the tournament even starts isn't going to hinder that. LIS before, the brackets don't lock until the first real game tips. You can literally wait until these games are done to finish your brackets.
