DEN RB Melvin Gordon III charged with DUI

Recommended Posts

Oh boy.

Usually the legal matters play out, and then a 3-game suspension at minimum is coming - but terrible look if true.  I mean, take an Uber, guy.

He was also going between 25-39 MPH over the speed limit, while drunk.

The running back, coming off his first 100-yard game with the Broncos, also received a speeding citation of going at least 25 mph over the limit.

Going to guess the league isn’t going to be particularly happy about him being out and about drinking with all the COVID issues either.

Meanwhile...

Secretary: Mr. Elway?

John Elway: Yes?

Secretary: I have a Lev Bell on the line.

Elway: Great, GREAT! Put him through, I need to talk to him.

[Call transferred]

Elway: Lev! I was just thinking about you...

Voice: WRONG ANSWER!

Elway: Huh, what?

Voice: You know who this is! It's TREVOR LAWRENCE!!!

Elway: OH! Ummmm... Mr. Lawrence, I'm very sorry, I thought...

Lawrence: THAT'S YOUR FIRST GUDDAM PROBLEM, JOHNNY! YOU'RE THINKING AGAIN!!!

Elway: Mr. Lawrence, let me explain...

Lawrence: No need! I went out and got Gordon drunk and gave him the keys just to solidify this... and you're going to screw it up by taking a call from Lev!? I SWEAR TO ANDREW LUCK, IF I END UP WITH THE JETS I'M GOING TO PULL ALL OF YOUR TEETH OUT!!!

Elway: I'm VERY sorry Mr. Lawrence...

Lawrence: GET YOUR HOUSE IN ORDER!

[Disconnects]

Elway: ...Sheila, hold all my calls. Forever.

Melvin always seemed like he had a good head on his shoulders when he was in Madison. This is the same dude who would be working out on his lawn at 2am on Sunday morning while everyone was out partying. Bruh.

This was a masterpiece. I had to share this with a couple Bronco fans outside of this forum.

Well done sir, well done.

Well to be honest if you are working out at 2 in the morning in your front lawn that raises some other red flags for me.

I have to agree, when I was young we had a neighbor that would mow his lawn, do yard work, fix his fence at 2am or later. He also cooked crank, so there's that.
