So, the Cowboys seem to be falling apart. It seems to me the Cardinals are for real and the Cowboys are regressing but, they’ve been a 2nd half team.

The Cardinals are w/o Chandler Jones but the back up LT for the Cowboys hasn’t been able to block Hasan Reddick who has shown he needs to be a 3-4 OLB and not ILB and a special teams - Gardeck - have been getting a bunch of pressure on Dalton. The Washington DL is going to feast on their OL.

It is so amazing to see a team so LOADED with talent, suck so bad.

Take solace knowing our team is not loaded and we suck... we could be the Cowboys haha.

Could’ve been us this year if we spent up all our cap space and tried to insert a new system on both sides of the ball like the Cowboys are trying to do too.

That's mostly on one side of the ball though. Their D has injuries and also just sucks.

Their D also changed coaches/schemes. McCarthy hired Mike Nolan to be his defensive coordinator probably bc of their San Fran ties and that was the worst mistake he could’ve made. The players who are complaining the most of the scheme and what they’re doing and it’s not working are their defenders.

They actually have solid talent on defense but the players are lost out there. I downplayed the effect of coaching when Barry & Manusky were our defensive coordinators bc we also didn’t have a lot of talent in certain spots, but I think others were right and it was just as much or more the coaching that sucked from 2015-2019 rather than just our players. If players don’t know what they’re supposed to be doing and the communication is poor from the coaching staff then you get what we had and what the Cowboys currently have in a defense.

Injuries are killing them, but its hard to get excited about Jalen Smith who seems to have fallen off a wagon since his payday (same with Lawrence), Poe is not the same guy, and the secondary leaves something to be desired.

There's a reason everyone links Thomas to the Cowboys at safety. It's not good, and the coaching makes it worse.

They changed the scheme. The coaches aren’t coaching them the new scheme well enough. That’s a huge problem.

They don’t have a talent problem in their secondary:

• Treyvon Diggs looks like a #1 corner in the making, he’s played well.

• Jourdan Lewis is a solid slot corner and has been since they drafted him

• Xavier Woods has been a solid young FS for a few years

• I guess you could say Darryl Worley is a downgrade as a #2 corner .

But these guys are lost out there. They don’t know what they’re doing. Under Rod Marinelli they weren’t lost bc he’s an amazing defensive coach and a great teacher.

Signing Earl Thomas will probably make the lockeroom culture worse given the problem child he’s been at the end of his Seachickens tenure and while he played in Baltimore.
