We'll truly never know if there were "other" ways, since they ended up forcing Reiff to take a paycut and restructured Kendricks once again, which helped free up space as well. They'll have more flexibility next year with guys like Rudy and Thielen's dead cap money going down. This was the year where they had the least amount of flexibility and did what they could.
