Saying what the Bucs did is a flash in the pan is not accurate what so ever. They have an elite defense. #5 in Defensive DVOA last year and #1 this year. They’ve been ridiculously consistent. If anything was a flash in the pan, it was the Charger game.

Also can say the same about us beating the Chiefs, can’t over react to that. Beating the Chiefs didn’t all of a sudden turn us into a Championship Contender.

WTF are you talking about???

They played a 3 backup QBs.

Well I agree with you about this across all 32 Offenses and Defenses. There is no 2013 Broncos Offense or 2013 Seahawks Defenses this season, that’s for sure. But the Bucs are arguably the defense in the league right now.

The Buccaneers along with the 2008 Steelers are only the 2nd defense in the last 20 seasons to have 10+ takeaways, 20+ sacks, and allow less than 70 ypg rushing in their first 6 games.

Say what? They have played Drew Brees, Teddy Bridgewater, Nick Foles, Justin Herbert, Broncos Backup, and Aaron Rodgers. That’s one backup QB and you are narrative building. Outside of the Broncos QB, those are all Top 32 QBs in the league, including Foles.

Bucs are beatable they will come into this game with everyone talking about them, but I seen that defense get shredded by a rookie QB with no oline. You can sit there and say that was a flash in the pan but if Nick Foles knew how to properly throw the ball downfield it would have happened again against the Bears where they had WRs running free down field.

The Chargers offense scored 24 points against them, 7 came on a pick 6. And 14 of those points were on explosive passes down field. In the second half the Chargers only had like 115 yards and 7 points, and 75 yards/7 points came on a single play.

You do know that Nick Foles and Justin Herbert are both backups?

Herbert was a backup for 1 game and will be the starter for the next decade, lol. Foles will start for the Bears for the rest of the year and probably next year as well.

Nick Foles and Justin Herbert are both Top 32 QBs in the NFL. Tyrod Taylor and Mitch Trubisky are not Top 32 QBs in the NFL. If they faced Mitch and Tyrod, you would reword it as “They have faced terrible QBs!” in place of the word “backup”. Your narrative building is obvious and garbage.

Defenses were also a step behind to start the year with no offseason. Over the last 4 games the Buccaneers defense is only allowing 16.2 ppg and 248 ypg.

Those are ridiculous numbers.

We are gonna have to take advantage of the deep ball, and need both Gruden/Carr to be near perfect to win. That combined WITH our defense showing up.

If you remove Herbert's 2 long bombs over the last 4 weeks their secondary has only given up: 81/130 (62%), 744 yards (186 ypg | 5.7 Y/A), 3 TD, 5 INT, 14 sacks.
