Anyone else feel that it's pretty piss poor planning to have Aaron Jones as the "replacement" for Ervin's role? I mean, it basically takes Jones out of the natural RB position on a number of snaps, when the team simply should have added another player to the roster (even the PS) who could have filled that role in the event Ervin went down for a few games.

In fact, I seem to remember a guy who was available in the draft who maybe (just maybe) could have filled that role:

Laviska Shenault, Colorado WR: 2020 NFL Draft profile - cleveland.com

It's almost like we have two other talented running backs to put back there with Jones out wide

Texans have played a brutal schedule through 6 games. Worst loss by far is to Minny at home. Other 4 losses to Ravens, Chiefs, Steelers and Titans, probably the 4 best teams in the AFC and all in the top 10 teams in the NFL.

Would the Packers be better than maybe 3-3 against the same schedule?

Aaron Nagler  -    The Packers make it official on their starting left tackle. He won’t play tomorrow.

Hopefully Jones will play, he'd be a huge loss in a game where we'll probably need to score a lot of points.

Actually think we'll be okay without Bakh this game. Texans don't have a legit EDGE rusher, Watt is more dangerous inside. Slide Elgton over and put Wagner at RT.

We moved up Wynn with Lancaster out, shouldn't be much of a difference there.

Not having King will be a bigger loss than Savage. Personally, Savage hasn't been great anyways. Just have to hope Jackson and Hollman aren't exposed.

Andy Herman -    Tomorrow is one of those games where you can throw the style points out. Unfamiliar opponent, on the road, with a ton of important pieces missing. Doesn’t matter if it’s 52-49 or 3-0, just get the hell out of Houston with a W.

Ryan Wood -   Aaron Jones said he was confident he could play through calf strain in Houston, but Packers aren’t expected to push him. The plan is for Jones to not play v Texans, per sources. Jamaal Williams and AJ Dillon will have increased roles, and Dexter Williams was called up for depth.

fully expecting Dillon to get two carries tomorrow (one called back due to penalty)
