Vikings trade Yannick Ngakoue to Baltimore

Saw it with the Chiefs and in other games this year. We needed a receiver but even if we had got one, I had serious doubts about how far we would go with Judon as the primary pass rush threat. Mahomes picked the Ravens apart because the Ravens couldn’t put pressure on him without rushing multiple defenders. Now, they shouldn’t have to do it as much. EDC making moves.

great move for the ravens. & just think the jags wanted a 1 plus for him before the draft? is he not playing hard worried about the contract or didnt fit the vikes scheme?

he seems to be playing hard atleast in terms of the pass rush stats.  its because Ngakoue was set to be a FA at the end of the year and i guess the vikings felt they werent gonna be able to resign him.

the biggest question is how are the vikings gonna be able to afford keeping him, Stanley, Lamar becuse those seem to be the biggest pieces that seem to be coming up on expiring deals.

He was playing fine. 5 sacks, 7 additional QB hits (so he was constantly getting pressure) and 2 forced fumbles. The Vikings just have a terrible cap situation and must have decided with how they're playing that they need to start shedding payroll to rebuild instead of looking to re-sign a pass rusher for huge money.

You know its coming. They won't turn the other cheek to this move.

Expect Crowder or Darnold to be traded very soon.😊

The Vikings could trade half their starters and I still doubt they'd be worse than the Jets.

Meh on this trade, but I get it for the Vikings, I expect that this is not going to be the last trade that the Vikings make. Who wants some safeties, I could see both Anthony Harris and Harrison Smith being traded, and Reilly Rieff being moved as well, and if anyone wants Cousins, we'll give you a 5th to take him off our hands, haha (or at least I would).

I remember I was in a bar on the outskirts of Minneapolis and I was shushed by the bar staff for talking too loudly about how Cousins was holding the team back last season (before he went on that mid season tear). Perhaps all Minnesota needs is for me to go back to that bar.

But for real. Cousins has been contributing in holding that team back. He was the new Dalton line IMO, but now that time could seemingly be coming to an end.

edit: Forgot to mention that Cousins and some of the other Minnesota players would frequent that particular bar, so it made sense for them to shush me.
