pf9
The NFL has been willing to reschedule games for a Tuesday in emergency situations. In 2010, a Vikings-Eagles game, flexed out of Sunday afternoon into primetime, was moved to a Tuesday due to blizzards. This year, because the Titans had COVID-19 problems, had a game with the Bills moved to a Tuesday. So if the NFL is willing to schedule Tuesday games in emergencies, then in future years where Christmas Eve falls on a Monday, the NFL should move that week's Monday night game to Tuesday. Considering the NFL is going to a 17-game, 19-week schedule, in such years the MNF game that week and the next can be two games between the same division rivals. They would play on Christmas night on a Tuesday in one week, then on New Year's Eve night on a Monday the following week. This eliminates the possibility of turning around from a Tuesday game to a Sunday game. Yes, I know teams have to turn around from a Sunday game to a Thursday game each year, but those weeks have games which might have playoff implications. pf9
The NFL was able to avoid scheduling MNF games on Xmas Eve prior to 2007. They've only been able to do it once - 2012 - since then. Plus in terms of NBA, Tuesday nights are usually TNT's territory. If the NFL can avoid Xmas Eve MNF games by using Tuesdays, then they should. malibuspeedrace
so....the nfl needs to worry about a low tier college bowl game...and shift their schedule so they don't have to go up against the huge draw that is the Hawaii Rainbows vs a scrub conference USA team   l o l

pf9
Christmas Eve night games are usually avoided because parents don't want their kids staying up late on Christmas Eve.

Pretty sure the majority of NFL fandom isn't made up of kids with curfews 😂 Christmas Eve game isn't stopping jolly old Saint Nick from delivering presents. Non issue.
