Good, bad, ugly vs Tampa Bay

It is still too early to call him a bust, he has played like 20 games in the NFL. And he just had his best and most disruptive game against the Chiefs, which played a huge part in us winning the game. It just wasn't fun to see Devin White put up 3 sacks and destroy Carr on that last play while Ferrell had a quiet game. White has been good this year but even Bucs fans will tell you he's great coming forward but hasn't been great in coverage.

White also has the luxury of playing behind a elite DL. And next to a Pro Bowl LB

Meh.  We got Ferrell.  We good.

Cory Littleton was a Pro Bowler and is struggling in Guenther's scheme. His play the last two seasons there was way better than White has played in Tampa. So he'd probably have a similar non-impact here and everyone would be crying that we should've taken an edge player.

Good:  3 quarters of competitive football

Bad: Drafting Ferrell over White.  Not saying Ferrell is a bad player but White showed why he should have been drafted before Ferrell.  Gruden kicking the field goal when we all know we can not rely on the defense to shut teams down unless we ae rolling on offense.

Ugly:  Anyone that still wants to debate taking Ferrell over White and Guenther still employed by this team.  Once again it looks like we are short handed and we lost the TO battle.  $th quarter spiraled out of control really quickly.

White is probably still learning the nuances of playing LB but his explosiveness jumps off the screen.  People where having a debate about Muse testing as well as White and they are close but White plays as fast or faster than those numbers.  He closes faster than Abram without being reckless.  He missed a couple tackles but the kid had a great day.  He had more impact plays today than Ferrell has had all year.  Ferrell was suppose to be ready day one and White needed to develop.  Having good players around makes it easier but White is also making some of those plays on his own and can just do things 99% of league can not.  Speaking of having good players around you did you forget what team Littleton played on last year?

Crazy. Great coaches are like 10-2 after a bye week, or even Andy Reid who is like 21-3.

Unacceptable. Do they goof off during the bye or what? You’re suppose to prepare extra, not take a week vacation!

Its not as if Tampa Bay came at us with anything unexpected. We knew that pressure up the middle so Brady cant step up is key, there's 20 years of tape of it! Yet, we had practically zero pressure and didn't scheme anything to produce that. If we're not winning 1 on 1s - which we're never going to do with regularity with Ferrell, Hankins, Hurst, Crosby - then we need to scheme something to create that. 2 weeks prep and I saw nothing innovative at all.

Serious question - did anyone else see what all that extra week of defensive preparation went into??

Nail on the head.

We can blame individual players for having a poor season all we want, but realistically it’s impossible to judge any of them properly with a dud at DC.

Carr played pretty well, if Agholor catches that pass in the 4th quarter we probably tie the game right there.

Yeah, Jacobs hasn't been effective but our run blocking as a whole has been terrible all season. We really need Richie and Trent back. Plus Gabe Jackson has really regressed, he's probably gone after this year.

Carr played every well but Agholor was responsible for 11 point swing  dropping a TD pass then causing INT.

I'm not giving PG a pass here but players were in position to make plays and they didn't.

This game went about how i expected. Unless the defense gets stops the team is going to lose. It’s like Gruden just expects to win these boat race games. Trouble is that this isn’t an all time elite offense.

this team is quite middle of the road.

The drop was tough to take but I wouldnt say the Int was all on Agholor, it was a pretty tough catch, the defender was tackling him and should have been called for PI IMO and he just happened to deflect it straight to a defender, Carr put it perfectly where Agholor could get hands on it and make a difficult catch in tight coverage but it just went awry, I wouldn't blame anyone particular, just one of those plays that goes awry when you're pushing.

100 percent right.  Nearly every player we have signed on D over the last decade has underperformed.  It's either they don't fit our scheme or the surrounding talent is so poor they get lost in the wash or a combo of the two.  Either way I find it hard to believe Littleton has forgotten how to play at a high level since last season.

No blame it just happened. That's how all the sudden we're down by 20
