DoleINGout
I've never been a Lawrence fan going back to his freshman season so maybe this isn't saying much but I like him more than I used to. Still, that said: Fields>Lawrence
Crimmage
I like Fields toughness staying in the game and making some of those throws. I've only seen a couple of his games.. do most of his passes look predetermined? It looked like he wasn't going through any kind of progression on a lot of those passes, especially on that TD pass to the TE, he had someone wide open right in front of him but he needed a hell of a throw to get that TD. IMO Trask had one bad interception that was all on him. Again I am not saying Trask is bad but tight window throws are not something he does well. In the SEC Championship game he threw the ball well but there were not many completions on tight window throws. I see Trask as an Andy Dalton at best. You talk about windows, ask Patrick Surtain ( who i consider a future star) what he thought of Trask placement. I think Trask got him 2/3 times. which is unheard of when it comes to P Surtain. Last if people think Trask can't hit a window than Fields and Lance can't hit a barn!

I respect your opinion and all I am giving is mine and I have been wrong many times so take it for what its worth. Also I don't think Lance is as good as Trask and I am no sold on Fields but he does have a great arm. I think that Lawrence and Wilson are the best two QBs in this draft class and have those two the is a huge gap to number three which could well be Trask. Side note I don't think the Andy Daulton thing is an insult. 62.2 % completions 33520 yards 218 TDs 125 INTs 87.7 Rating Edited January 2, 2021 by jofos I'm stupid

Trask SUV! 😁 I like Trask but I'm finding it hard to ignore Jones. That dude is calm and cool under pressure. He's smart as heck and he has a 4.0 grade point average. Just compare him to the guys in the NFL. Many of the QBs your scratching your head saying what the heck is he doing! I watch Baker Mayfield and others and IMO I rather have Jones. Just think a QB that rates out high every week in the IQ category. Everyone don't thing I'm saying he's TB or going to be , however Mac Jones is just like Brady at UM. Exact same arm, pocket presence and calm under pressure. There is no panic in his game.
Crimmage
I think we can all agree that BB isn't going to watch much tape on Jones or even listen to his scouts.. he is simply going to call up Saban and ask his opinion. If Saban believes he is a franchise guy then BB is going to pick him, if he doesn't Saban probably thinks he will be average in the NFL or a high quality backup. We've heard so many times before how BB will just blatantly ignore a scout and call up one of his coach friends to ask about a player then draft through their recommendation. I'm not saying it's the best idea in the world but you would hope Saban will be able to tell how good he can be at the next level better than anyone scouting him. If you draft him and dont add at minimum 2 high end receivers he's going to be begging to go back to Alabama though lol Edited January 2, 2021 by Crimmage

Crimmage
He doesn't call Saban for WR because all of his WR are too good for him to ever draft haha. I'm sure he will speak to him about Smith/Waddle. Chase & Smith could both be gone by the Patriots pick.. Waddle will probably be there if he wants him.. but remember Julio Jones? and BB said oh don't trade up.. this random guy nobody remembers is just as good!
jofos
All I can say about Belichick and scouts is that I have never had Jim Nagy tell me anything about Belichick not listening to them. He always talked about how great he was to work with even after Nagy had left for KC.
DoleINGout
If Belichick passes up on Jaylen Waddle I will actually lose faith in his drafting competency completely.
