good to keep in mind though that this was probably the worst OL we’ll play all year. colts will be a big test next week. regardless though i like to see us actually rotating players and keeping guys fresh

Probably, but it's not like the Bengals starting 3-4 backup OL on what was already probably the worst OL in the NFL were any more difficult for Beasley.

I know the Bears offense is inept but it was nice seeing the new guys (Tart, King, Borders, Roberson) flash throughout the game. Also seeing Jayon Brown return to form, Simmons continue to dominate and Malcolm Butler continue his nice play was a welcome sight. Would be nice if this game is what leads to a defensive turn around for the second half of the season.

It seemed like every time Borders was targeted in coverage he was in good position. I'm sure we won't get lucky enough for a practice squad guy to actually be good enough to be a positive contributor throughout Adoree's absence, but we can dream. He can't be worse than what we had.

Obviously you want him to play better, but any QB is going to have a more difficult time sustaining the high level of play they had when the protection was great when the protection all the sudden goes south. That's just the sad reality of it that our team isn't going to be as good as it was when it had one of the best players in the NFL at one of the most valuable positions.

It's not that we won't have good games with Sambraillo, but the consistency will be harder to maintain.

gotta work around it. can't have such a big drop off

Philly won a super bowl after Jason Peters and Carson Wentz went down. We can't just be like "welp, this offense just won't be as good anymore"

it's up to Smith.

Who knows man. Guys come out the woodwork every year on every team to be great contributors. All he's gotta do is play well on the field, and if he's doing that then he's getting the job done. We can only hope he keeps up the good work.

Sure, that's the dream, but that was the exception and not the rule. There's more than likely going to be some drop off. Hopefully as time goes by without Lewan they figure out more of what's working with Sambraillo.

It's up to the coaching to find other ways to get around it, but we need the defense to step up as much, if not more, to have a real chance. Last week was a good start, but not against a quality offense.
