He's a good bet to be back playing early 2020, if not Opening Day - but he won't be close to full athletic prowess. Worst, he misses key valuable time learning the NFL-level TE nuances. God, this is the worst possible news from yesterday. Fant's still our alpha, but this reduces our seam-buster/game-breaker potential by a significant amount. I said this in the GD thread - I'll readily admit I questioned the Albert O pick on Draft Day with Fant in the fold, but I got it once he started playing. This is big blow for 2021+. Sigh.
