Falcons then Bengals then 49ers waive DE Takk McKinley

Recommended Posts

If they had talked about suspending him before he got hurt, the Raiders would've given a 3rd for him.

The Bengals are desperate for pass rushing help and have a pretty high waiver claim. This could be a match.

For his pass rush upside, or his constant injuries?  I'd say a match for the latter

Talent is in there somewhere. We could use a long term option opposite Josh Sweat.

Quick side note question, how has Josh Sweat been?

Having himself a good year. I wouldnt call him a breakout guy anymore just a good player.

Very impressive. His snap count is getting up there which is good. He's better than Derek Barnett. The only downside is that a lot of ppl think he'll never be a full time guy because of his bad knee injury from years ago.

More of the locker room.  He talked his way out just like Dunlap did

Before the 2019 draft, there was some buzz that the Titans would draft him. I wasn’t against it but like you pointed out his high school knee injury and college production concerned me somewhat. Glad to see he’s having success.

Yup he's shown at the very least he can be a high end, high snap DE3. He's worked out very well as a 4th round pick. I'd feel comfortable with him starting long term as long as there's some quality depth behind him to insure his injury risk (which hasn't bitten him thus far to be honest).

My rule of thumb is that when a former 1st round pick is cut before the end of their rookie deal, in the middle of the season - they're not good.

It's sort of why I'm expecting Takk to fail elsewhere.
