We absolutely HAVE to take care of business tonight against Baltimore. They're fighting for their lives tonight, and we have the chance to get revenge from Week 1, get to 10 wins, and make Pittsburgh win their next two games against Cincinnati (that feels like a 45-3 Pittsburgh curb stomp win with 10+ sacks next week) and Indianapolis the week after, whereas we get the NYG (while they are 4-8 and lost yesterday, their DL is legit and they're capable of stopping the run) and the lowly Jets.

If we win the next 3 and Pittsburgh loses one of the next two, it sets up a "winner take all" divisional title game Week 17 at home. The thought of that possibility gets me psyched.

We are trying to go 1-0 this week

But yes, this is the big picture. I'm hoping tonight goes just like last week. We jump out to a big lead and they get one dimensional.

ABSOLUTELY, as he should! If they don't take care of business each week, it's a moot point. Any given game day in the NFL things can happen.

We have to get Baltimore in 3rd and medium/long situations to have a chance defensively. Otherwise, they'll stick to running the football at will, controlling the clock, and forcing us to become way too one dimensional playing catchup, all with a gassed defense.

Stack the LOS, pay attention to the TE’s and force Lamar to win throwing to the outside.

He’s going to stress your defense, but that’s the best way to win imo.

Agreed 100%. They need to play with 8 in the box, and I think this is the type of game where Karl Joseph actually provides some value, as does our interior DL. I think you put your SLB underneath Andrews with a safety over the top, and say "If you're going to beat us, you're beating us with your wide receivers. You aren't beating us with Andrews." And, if they're able to beat us with their wide receivers on the outside, then kudos to them, but we can't let Andrews of all people go off on us and beat us.

Make them beat us with their running backs and wide receivers. Don't let Lamar beat you with his legs or throwing the ball to his tight ends. We HAVE to be better at getting off of the field than last week vs. Tennessee on 3rd and 4th down in the 2nd half.

Yeah games like this are when it would be especially nice to have Denzel, Greedy and Delpit playing.

Let the corners lock up 1:1 and have someone put Sendejo out of his misery of having to be embarrassed every week.

No doubt. Even not having Harrison hurts here. You could actually have Ward, Greedy, Delpit, Harrison, and then in nickel situations you lose Goodson and bring in Sandejo or Mitchell depending upon the heavy vs. small personnel that Baltimore brings onto the field. You play man or Cover 2 on the outside and either bring some pressure or have a spy on Lamar with a decent DB athlete like Harrison or Joseph, use Mack/Takitaki as the underneath guy with Andrews, and either Harrison or Joseph as the cap on top of the routes.

Instead, you now have an inferior athlete at LB spying Lamar and you lose the cap on top and have to use Sandejo on Andrews...which is just an awful matchup for the Browns.
