I still think it's insane that we expanded the playoffs to 14 teams and we are not mathematically guaranteed to make the playoffs if we go 11-5. Insane, but also totally makes sense for Cleveland sports.

Isn’t this the truth. Lest we be reminded this is a special year with that C-word still hanging around. I’m still completely thankful for two things this year in sports, one I’m still watching football in general, two Browns are legitimately in the hunt 😎

The Colts are going to beat Pittsburgh next week. 

I really do think that the Division and possible playoff berth is going to come down to a Steelers/Browns matchup week 17.  An 11-5 team could very likely miss the playoffs.  What an awesome way to end the regular season if we are playing the Steelers for the AFCN.

Colts vs Steelers next week

 

If the colts beat the steelers we have a chance at the division. If the Steelers won we are in the playoffs.

Updated the OP. Steeler fall to the three seed. If they lose out and we win out, we take the division. We can't win a tie breaker due to divisional records, so that is our only path.

As long as we win next week then the Pittsburgh vs. Indy game is kind of a win-win. Pittsburgh loses, we have a chance at the division. If Indy loses, then that's one less team we have to worry about. But like I said, that's if we win next week.
