I disagree. Kyle Allen was not throwing to the RB every play. Making excuses for Smith, who has done this every season he’s been a starter regardless of system is just silly.

Smith doesn’t throw to the RB every play.

You’re too focused on that and always have been.

8 receptions by non-running backs. 8 receptions by running backs. 6 by McKissic, 1 by Barber & 1 by Gibson.

Thats the box score.

What is it going to take to end the Jon Bostic experiment? Why is he on the field? Is there literally no other player on the planet that is younger and can get beat by TEs and RBs?

None with his particular brand of veteranosity™️

  Totals Drive #1 Drive #2 Drive #3 Drive #4 Drive #5 Drive #6
Pass Target Depth Comp Att Pct Comp Att Comp Att Comp Att Comp Att Comp Att Comp Att
Behind line of scrimmage 4 6 66.7%     0 1 1 1 1 2 2 2
Beyond LOS but before FD 10 12 83.3%     2 3 0 1 3 3 5 5
Beyond FD but less than 10 yds 1 1 100.0%                 1 1
Beyond FD but greater than 10 yds 2 3 66.7% 2 2         0 1
                            kneel down
TOTAL 17 22 77.3%                     before half

So, while it isn't all targeting RBs underneath, it so far has been almost entirely targeting some player underneath.

That’s been all season! A lot of it is the offense as @e16bball said. We did that vs the Ravens. I will agree with @lavar703 that Kyle Allen threw more downfield it seemed some snaps but taking what’s open right away isn’t always the worse thing either. That’s what Kirk did a lot too.
