Darbsk
I know this was a little scrappy early on but in hindsight this was a really good team performance when you factor in the injuries we’ve been dealing with. We were clearly the better team and we did what we don’t normally, we put the Broncos away. The Good OL play - massive credit to Cable, pass protection was ok but run blocking was excellent. Without 3 OL and with Young going down yet again it is super impressive. Defence - what was impressive for me was that we blitzed, mixed things up and numerous players made plays. 3 different players had interceptions, Lawson got a fumble and recovery we got some pressure too. Blitzing - the blitzes were directly responsible for the Nassib and Kwit interceptions. Amazing catch by Kwiatkowski and a great run back with stiff arms by Nassib too! We need that variety to get pressure on the QB RBs - both Jacobs and Booker ran with purpose and vision, Booker is proving to be a very good #2 that we can rely on. Brandon Parker - did a very decent job against Chubb a few times and generally held his own, had a few nice run blocks too and maybe he’s finally a solid contributor Special Teams - just solid all round, really helped in the field position game and kept the scoreboard ticking over. DL rotation - liked what Nassib, Irving, Key and Vickers brought. Plenty of effort and variety but was it just a mirage caused by the Broncos poor OL? The Bad Drops - two TDs left on the field and the bomb to Ruggs, we got away with it this week but we won’t next week. This could have been another 50 pointer against the Broncos so we have to be more ruthless if we want to consistently beat the great teams. Tackling - although the scheme was better and much more varied the actual tackling was pretty poor, better teams will keep drives alive and make us pay. Mullen - Mullen had a rare bad game giving up quite a few catches, hopefully he’s back to his usual high standard next week. Missed Opportunities - we got away with it this time but would have loved to make a statement this week with the Chiefs coming to town. The Ugly Broncos QB situation again.
Darbsk
Forgot to also add that Carr looks much more aware in the pocket, less skittish and more comfortable extending plays. He seems more confident using his legs and less prone to take those frustrating, needless sacks. I think it’s taken him from a decent but limited QB to a very good, game winner QB this year. Credit to Gruden and Olsen there too.
Ryno
Initial impressions: Good Carr - Shame about the drops and missed opportunities killing his stats Renfrow as a whole... he needs more targets The run game Moreau looked really good blocking and I hope this means he's finally got his job back! I thought Brandon Parker looked a lot better this week so hopefully there is genuine progress there. Special Teams The defence looked pretty good all around... but Drew Lock and the rest of their offence looked terrible and like they've quit so like every week it's the same and we'll see next week. Morrow looked active and was playing physical Jeff Heath took advantage of the playing time again... Bad Tackling I'm limited by the viewing angle but it didn't look like the WRs were getting any separation... so WRs or play calling here I don't see any reason for Ingold to be playing this week... Ugly Drops/missed opportunities ... these will lead to lost games if they don't clean it up

I would add Red Zone offense to the Ugly list, how many times does Carr end up rolling right and having to throw it away as no-one is open. Very frustrating.

I think the Broncos pass defense and specifically their red zone pass defense is still pretty good. They just can't stop the run to save their lives. Lol. Another thing we need to work on. Crazy how we struggle in the red zone but are still putting up 30+ points a game in most games. Take away the Browns game with crazy weather conditions and the two games we didn't have Henry Ruggs at the beginning of the season and it seems like we are putting up between 34-40 points a game. Him and Carr had some RZ chemistry. Carr loves the bigger bodied receivers in the RZ.
big_palooka
Good: Arden Key - his hit on Lock shook him. He played scared the rest of the way. It reminded me of some early Derek Carr games

Once he gets it down with Ruggs its going to be fun. Not worried one bit about Ruggs so far. Hes added a dimension to the offense that makes everyones job easier, once the stats come everyone will see why he was the #1 WR taken.
