onejayhawk
Some say Lost Wages. The Raiders are coming off an impressive thumping of the Broncos, particularly the defense with two sacks and four interceptions. Against a much improved pass rush, we have both OT on COVID reserve, though it's possible they will still play. Offensively, the Raiders are strong on the run, but only decent passing, #15 in the league overall. With Las Vegas winning the first game, then rubbing it in, there was going to be plenty of trash talk this week. It doesn't hurt that they are now 6-3 and in clear second place in the division. This is the first time the Raiders have been three games over .500 for the first time in several years. https://chiefswire.usatoday.com/2020/11/16/kansas-city-chiefs-las-vegas-raiders-week-11-rivalry-jon-gruden-bus-driver/ Here is a recap of Reid after a bye. He's been good for us.https://www.arrowheadpride.com/2020/11/17/21570074/the-chiefs-andy-reid-is-still-terrific-after-the-bye-week-nfl-week-11 J Edited November 17, 2020 by onejayhawk
onejayhawk
FBO this week has us dropping behind Pittsburgh. They are the only undefeated team, so makes sense and Mew Orleans is really good this year. Tampa Bay is the one I don't get. Las Vegas #14, which breaks down O #9, D #21, ST #16. Our previously dreadful ST score is up to #22, O #1, D #14. J

onejayhawk
Not likely to impact the game, but the Chiefs signed Tommy Townsend's brother Johnny to a PS contract. With the COVID cases popping up, it's nice two have two handy.https://chiefswire.usatoday.com/2020/11/17/kansas-city-chiefs-punter-johnny-townsend-signed-to-practice-squad/ J
onejayhawk
COVID hits the Raiders hard. DE Clelin Ferrell tested positive, so much of the Raiders defense is on COVID list as a precaution. Like fisher and Schwartz, the players can return and play if they test negative, but they will miss practice time. https://chiefswire.usatoday.com/2020/11/18/chiefs-raiders-week-11-las-vegas-starting-defense-covid-19-list/ First injury list Player Injury Participation* CB BoPete Keyes Illness DNP DE Taco Charlton Ankle DNP CB Rashad Fenton Ankle LP OL Mike Remmers Rib LP DT Chris Jones Groin FP DT Derrick Nnadi Ankle FP C Austin Reiter Knee FP DT Khalen Saunders Elbow FP CB Antonio Hamilton Hamstring FP WR Sammy Watkins Hamstring FP Player Injury Participation* DB Eric Harris Oblique LP DT Maurice Hurst Ankle LP FB Alec Ingold Ribs LP OT Kolton Miller Ankle LP LB Nick Morrow Knee FP DE Carl Nassib Ankle/Knee FP CB Keisean Nixon Groin LP RB Jalen Richard Chest DNP TE Darren Waller Back FP OT Sam Young Knee/Back LP
onejayhawk
Fisher is eligible to return. Chiefs_5627
I figured Schwartz would've been go to go after the bye... hopefully his back isn't too bad off. I miss those days of the shakeup on the inside of the line. Just not a fan of Wylie and I thought Kilgore bested Reiter easily. Having Saunders back will be a big help against the run. onejayhawk
The team made a bunch of moves ahead of the game. All of the following were expected: Sammy Watkins has been ruled out for Sunday’s game. Taco Charlton and Mitchell Schwartz have been placed on IR. Alex Okafor and L’Jarius Sneed have been activated from IR. https://chiefswire.usatoday.com/2020/11/21/kansas-city-chiefs-mitchell-schwartz-taco-charlton-ljarius-sneed-alex-okafor-mecole-hardman-roster-moves/ With Martinas Rankin still on the COVID-19 list, the team designated OL Bryan Witzmann as his replacement. For Watkins, they elevated WR Gehrig Dieter. J Edited November 21, 2020 by onejayhawk
RedGold
Those per game Roster Bonus on Watkins and Schwartz are starting to add up for the cap next year. Not that I like them missing, but trying to find some good out of it.

onejayhawk
I did too. He has only been available about a couple of weeks. https://steelersdepot.com/2020/11/steelers-dead-money-salary-cap-implications-from-stefen-wisniewski-waiving/ Wis is only a couple years older than Kelce and Schwartz. Age will get you, but mileage also piles up. He only played one game for the Steelers. J
