Xenos
Historically, Chargers have never done well with first time coaches. Even when the rest of the league seem to have gotten over the hump, our best coaches had prior successful HC experience ie. Sid Gilman, Don Coryell, Bobby Ross, Marty, etc. So no to guys like Bienemy, Brady, Smith, Saleh. What’s left out there besides Jim Caldwell? Like without hindsight, I would have taken Mike McCarthy if he had chosen to come back this year instead of last. Shows what I know.

That stache is thick enough he may not have been able to fit a mask over it during this pandemic.

Not many out there that I would want to give second chance to, honestly. Harbaugh if he gets canned and Michigan (which he should, but I don't know if they will). I think he's massively overrated, but he had success with SF, can't deny it. Herm Edwards is coaching as ASU. Oh! Marvin Lewis!!!! Do it!!! That's the most perfect match ever! Leslie Frazier if you needed a full overhaul on culture would be a good fit.

His time with the Vikings makes me wary. And I give McDermott more credit for that defense.
Xenos
So going by Charger criteria: Morris, Pederson if he gets fired, and healthy Caldwell.
