I just read that Charles Rogers passed away at 38. Details unknown but RIP.

I was SOOOOO excited to watch him play. Still a damn shame injuries ruined what likely was going to be a great career.

Crazy. Sort of morbid, but I wonder what happened. I'm speculating bad things and I wish I wasn't.

I have heard he was in hospice due to organ failure.  Which I am sure relates to his addictions over the years.  Its sad what addiction does to people.

I thought I had read a while back that he got clean from the hard addictions?

He could have, but the effects don't always go away.  Even if not a hard addiction, could just be a lack of nutrition or something else but seems odd that a 38 year old former athlete would just rot away without something being involved.

Charles Rogers was a sad story. The guy was a freak athlete. It’s really to bad about his issues with Vicodin.

I hope he is at peace.

Sucks to be a Detroit fan right now:

Tigers: 47-114 no playoffs last 5 yrs

Lions: 3-5-1 0-1 last 5 years

Pistons: 4-7 0-2 in playoff series

Red Wings 6-12 0-2 playoff series
