Just fire him and roll with his asst.  Can't be worse

It can always be worse, and I'm not sure why I'd expect the student to be an improvement over an incompetent teacher.  Drop both of them in the off-season.

He did spend two years as ST assistant in IND prior to joining GB.  Maybe he still remembers some of the stuff that works.

Oh....like this?

Yeah that was further back in history but I couldn't resist LOL...

legit had a dream last night that we had a fumble on special teams. Was an onside kick we recovered, but then tried to return (and not just fall on it) AND STARTED LATERALING IT before fumbling it.

It seemed so us

I wonder if MM would still be coaching in GB had Bostic done his job on that play.  I am still convinced GB wins the SB two weeks later if they recover that kick.

Logical hypothetical thought, but as we've seen with Doug Pederson here in Philly, success one year doesn't necessarily translate forward. The Iggles fans want to run him and Wentz out of town right now and bring back Foles...

I just think the GB organization as a whole has a complete different vibe if that season ends with a 2nd SB win with MM/Rodgers rather than the Bostic blunder and subsequent completion of the NFCC game meltdown. I expect how that game played out had a role when it came time to decide MM's fate, and also played a role in what seemed to a general deterioration of coach/player relationships.

Yeah, I think it was about that time when Hyde and Hayward left frustrated with Dom. It's also about the time we started calling out Dom's defensive scheme more often...

Best case scenario with Hyde was the move. C2 was the dream, Dom didnt play that. I think he just got to a spot where TT thought he was too good a DB to pass up in the draft. Hayward, he overcame speed + height(jump) deficiency(not special) for his hot years but injuries have always plagued. Didnt last long, but thats a tough ask at all.  He ended injured this year as well. I'm probably the biggest Hayward fan out there but it was the right move. Thats 3 16 game seasons out of 9. And were pissed king cant stay healthy, who has played more games thus far in his career, who is also a more talented CB.

We have to move on as fans. Neither would've looked as good had they stayed here. Maybe Casey couldve stayed healthier if he played all slot. Imagine if the slot was THIS prevalent when he got in the league. He's a starter and probably never leaves town for lack of role if he's drafted this year.

This move can't happen soon enough.

The kick coverage team was terrible both on punts and kickoffs. There was no threat of a return game, even with Serve back there. It would be nice to add an explosive returner this offseason, but at the very least special teams cannot continue to be the liability it has over the last decade.

A new punter would be a nice addition as well. Scott has been terribly inconsistent the last 2 years and doesn't bring much value.

Side note:

If Crosby cannot consistently get the ball to the end zone, it would be nice for our next punter to be the kickoff specialist as well.
