Guys like Burrow (with Palmer since final year at LSU) and Allen (with Palmer since starting in the NFL) seem to have progressed with Palmer, and Darnold (with Palmer for 8 years) looked pretty NFL ready his first year. That to me says Gase is the issue - and there's more evidence of Gase being poor for a budding QB's performance than Palmer (i.e Tannehill). I don't blame Palmer for Darnold. I think that's unfair. He can only do so much as an offseason coach. He cant control the countless x factors around each QB he coaches. Palmer, Gase, Loggains, etc...cant play for Darnold, Sam's issues are his own. Sam will wow you both with good throws and bad throws.
