Ah yes, the Pittsburgh Steelers, famously the NFL's redheaded stepchild and afterthought.

Yes. If there is anything the NFL wants more is to screw one it's most storied and popular teams.
Gotta make sure they don't make it to Super Bowl and attract MILLONS of views around the world.

No it didn't. You should have had to play without them. Do a better job with the protocol.

2nd time this season Pittsburgh has gotten screwed because of another team

lmao bruh it's a global pandemic. stop acting like the team is doing a bad job because these players may have gone grocery shopping at the wrong time or something. it's still on the NFL, imo

How exactly is Pitt getting screwed in all of this?  One, you now get a full and normal week to prepare.  Two, if their players are positive now, they won't be cleared by Sunday.  Instead, they will have a better handle on who is actually positive, which will, in turn lessen the Steelers to exposure.  Win-win for you.  The only thing your team loses is the extra time after the game to rest, but any NFL player will tell you they hate playing on Thursdays anyway.

The whole "woah for the Steelers" act because of this and the Titans game is wearing thin.  Plus, your players, as well as your opponents', health trumps the entertainment factor for the rest of us Thursday night.  As much as I was looking forward to watching this game, their health is more important, and I'll get over it.

Lots of teams have had games moved this season. That was an arrangement EVERYBODY knew would have to happen going into this. Sometimes it will affect a team more than once, sometimes it won't affect a specific team at all. That's just the way it goes and we all knew this was going to happen.

Get over yourself, Steelers guy

after everything that's happened this year the fact that we still have clowns acting like the nfl's protocols are bulletproof and the only way a team could possibly have an outbreak is if their players were personally "irresponsible" whatever that means is mind boggling

I wouldn't even say the protocols are water proof. The NFL is making stuff up as they go which seems to be a damn 2020 trend

Remember when the 49ers basically couldn't filed a team due to COVID positives but the NFL still made them go out there and be embarrassed on primetime tv? All I am asking for is some consistency in how they handle these situations because the Steelers  seems to keep getting the short end of the stick for following rules.

Please don't take this in any way as being an butt....

But how is this not "fair" to the Steelers?

They get extra rest. Don't have to play on a short week.

Outside of not being a primetime game and not having the lore of a Thanksgiving game, where is the disadvantage?

Well, given that this was the closest thing the Steelers were getting to a Bye (in terms of the 11 day layoff until the next game) in a long time because their original bye was moved, I completely would say their justified in feeling that way. It's funny, Derek Wolfe tweeted "Player Safety, what a joke" yet the Steelers players don't have the right to feel that way as if their safety (in terms of on the field) hasn't been considered this year?
