We all saw it snap on tv. Confirmed achilles injury in-game interview. ugh

Another devastating injury in tonight's game.

How was he doing this year so far?

Of all the starters he was the most expendable, which is messed up to say.

One of those big fast combine receivers who can't get separation. However, he was dependable, great blocker and a leader for the WR group

This sucks, and can't be sustainable

Jeez. They've had a major injury just about every week.

Fourth starter gone for the year: Ware, Berry, Hali, Conley. Also the K Santos.

Torn Achilles can be a career altering or ending injury - especially for a speed guy.

Luckily, the Chiefs don't really need him in order to be successful on offense

Conley is the guy that replaced Maclin when he was released, so the position was already thin. Next up is 2nd year man Demarcus Robinson who has three career receptions. After him is a rookie that has only ST exposure.

But the Chiefs have so many other weapons that they can live without Conley - who is nothing special

I said in the KC forum, Conley is probably the most expendable starter on the team that this could've happened to, as heartless as that may sound. He has a somewhat unique role in our offense. He doesn't run a great variety of routes, but a lot of his role is to be the guy to pull coverage away to set up opportunities for Kelce and Hill in the parts of the field he vacates. He's also a valuable asset as a blocker for screens and the run game. But these are things that Demarcus Robinson can probably replicate for the offense. Conley isn't terribly great at getting open and it's never really a major part of our gameplan to get him the ball, so it shouldn't be a big deal.
