PAW
Our 2nd best player is watching from Germany. Our 3rd best player is watching from the bench and his replacement cost us the game. US soccer...all you can do is laugh.

teamorange
Well at least people don't have to pretend like they care about USA soccer.
SalvadorsDeli
We failed to integrate newer/younger/better players at all this entire cycle because it was ALWAYS considered too risky, too different. So complete bums like Howard, Zusi, Bradley, Wondo, Jozy, Gonzalez, etc. all got free passes, they all kept getting called in because they just have FUN training together. No Miazga, no Jonathan Gonzalez, no McKinnie, no Fabian, Cameron on the bench, the only dudes with any attitude or ambition who played tonight were Pulisic and Dempsey. Michael Bradley and Jozy Altidore are the biggest disappointments in modern US Soccer history (non-Freddy Adu division). And yes, the beginning of the end of both of their careers was them signing fat contracts with Toronto. Overpaid, lazy, unambitious, soft, they're all of the above. Pathetic. Absolutely agree. Shocking from a side that likes to think that it can challenge the top countries in the near term. People might try and blame Jurgen and some will blame Bruce and some will blame Gulati but they absolutely all deserve the blame. There is no way that there aren't going to be major changes though. At least they will get the blame now. I could see USA losing and the other teams lose as well and every says, "whew that was a close one but now we need to keep the same people so there is consistency going into the world cup!" At least the spineless admins will have to fire them this time.
amac
Klinsmann should have been fired much earlier/never gotten that long of a contract. Thought Bruce made a ton of sense on paper to get the team through qualifying but he was massively disappointing constantly shifting the tactics and having such a naive approach at times, and the team just generally looking flat Edited October 11, 2017 by amac

Michael Bradley used to be my favorite player for the national team but his play the last four years has been just absolutely appalling. The only thing worse than the level of his play is his complete lack of effort. The fact we've basically been relying on the same core of players for a decade and making no effort to really replace or make any future plans has cost us. We should have given youth some genuine chances earlier in the cycle but we didn't and Jurgen definitely deserves blame for that.
drd23
If you ignore the fact that the USMNT couldn't even muster a draw against Trinidad & Tobago, maybe
