Texans cut WR Kenny Stills

Recommended Posts

Seems like a good guy, likable but clearly speaks his mind, said bad things about the org when we got rid of Hopkins (Which everyone did), then made fun of Easterby and BOB, then after this new firing of the social media manager.

He had a lot of luggage in Miami too, can't imagine he's the most positive guy in that locker room.

Only the 2020 Texans could cut Stills one day, then obviously need him the next.

With Cobb on IR, you should know you're one ticky-tack Fuller injury away from needing Stills. Granted, Fuller managed to make himself unavailable in a more creative way than usual, but the same logic applies.

Foresight level: Texans. Even without O'Brien, the FO can't see past its nose.

Was Cobb on IR when we cut stills? Also IR this year only means missing 3 games so I suspect Cobb will be back soon.

Cobb to IR 6 days ago, Stills cut 4 days ago, Fuller popped yesterday. Close enough. We had a fine backup plan under contract, now we don't. Even if you think Fuller is a lock to play (LOL), you've got COVID concerns that could hit anytime.

Point is, this isn't the season to make petty cuts over philosophical disagreements with guys you may need unexpectedly. But of course, Texans gonna Texans.

The baffling thing is - the Texans KNEW this Fuller suspension was a possibility. Teams are alerted immediately when the first positive test is triggered, then you run the 2nd sample to see if the result is consistent.

Comedy of Errors. It's one big Comedy of Errors.

Actually only the player and agent are told of a positive test. The the player and agent can have someone supervise the testing of the sample B and if that then comes back positive the suspension comes down. The only way the team knows before the suspension is handed down is if the player/agent lets them in the loop.

Hmm, I was always under the impression that the team was alerted.

Texans didn't find out until Monday. This isn't a good look for Fuller.

Ya, it’s HIPPA rules or some legal mumbo jumbo. The Teams only get notice of a suspension too. The fact that it’s 6 games means it was more than likely PED related.
