Jaguars 2021 Official Draft Thread - News and Notes

Recommended Posts

We have the mock draft thread but that gets pretty overrun with just that, mocks. Figured we could use a thread for guys declaring and prospects in general (not just the QB at the top most likely).

We were officially eliminated from playoff contention today, so time to focus on the off-season ahead.

This is the exact type of WR we're missing.

I'd be here for Waddle (if we can somehow land him) or Moore with that late 1st or early 2nd. Add them to Chark/Viska/Colin Johnson and hopefully Cole w/ JRob in the backfield for our rookie QB? Whew.

No thanks to Moore.  Way to injury-prone

Also to reiterate - if you want a deep dive into a certain prospect, or have a mock you did a lot of work on with full write ups and all of that, those are always welcomed in their own threads. And once we get our selections locked in, at least a thread about the #1 or #2 pick will be warranted.

Churning threads with engaging titles drives activity from lurkers far more than catch-all threads. But catch-all threads are still great for general discussion.

Ultimately, I would probably spend 2 or 3 picks on offense; QB with our first pick and then an OT at some point, and a TE if the value made sense. Otherwise, gotta put everything on defense and depth across the board.

Listened to Zurlein and Brugler podcast. Interesting listening to them talk about what they're hearing.

Some tidbits:

Wilson is QB2/think that becomes more of a consensus as time goes on. Fields can change the narrative with a good performance against Clemson.

Vera-Tucker will go before Cosmi.

Eichenberg is meh/not going to be a 1st round guy. He's just ok.
