The NFL really needs to get on this. With ratings already down, this kind of thing happening in a postseason game would be catastrophic.

I’d be curious to see how many of the most famous catches of all time survive his review. Here’s guessing at least a few don’t pass his test.

Dont get me wrong - he has a tough job in being tasked with enforcing the rule book to the letter of the law. That said, he’s seemingly going into it looking for a reason to take plays away rather than going in watching the play and seeing if he sees anything problematic. That was clearly the case on the Miller TD and seemingly so on the Benjamin one as well.

The whole “Let’s automatically replay review all scoring plays and takeaways” thing is great in its intent but it’s caused far more problems than created good since implemented. Teams would challenge questionable ones anyway. The unnecessary replays take away from the flow of the game, and they are taking big plays away from guys without clear understanding as to why and, most importantly, significantly impacting the outcomes of games. None of that is good for the game. Officiating has never been an exact science. Hell its 2017 and they still measure distance with a chain and a stick. I’d rather go back to no replay at all than the way the scoring replays are done now though. It’s been a total disaster.

I really think Riveron has to go, it has never been like this with Blandino and Pereira, there was calls with those two that were close but left as called but nothing like the calls that have happened this season.

@blkwdw13 One of them mentioned “spirit of the rule” this week and I think that’s the part where Riveron falls well short. He opts for the wet blanket approach instead. He’s the officiating equivalent of a DUI attorney scouring a traffic stop video for the tiniest detail that can get his client out of jail time. Riveron’s predecessors seemed to interpret the catch rule more like the Supreme Court’s definition for porn (“I know it when I see it”), which was a much better fit for football IMO. This isn’t court - it’s entertainment, and the wet blanket iron fist approach makes the show less exciting to watch. That’s bad for the brand.

So I was at the beach today and hit a seagull with a football.  Was pretty awesome.

In 9th grade we went outside to play football in gym class and I threw it in the parking lot and it sailed like 10 feet past my intended target and hit the teacher's aide in the head then ricocheted and hit a jeep and the jeeps alarm went off. Top moment of my life.

Oh my football coach was my principal, so I got away with murder. By that, I mean he just made me run off my punishments before and after practice, and when I really f-ed up I cleaned the bus we traveled to our games in. Him catching me trying to pee over the stall wall into the next toilet is still something I brag about.

The shock on his face, the confusion, all was worth it.

EDIT - for the record, I did not make any of it.

I did some investigatoring and its magicmike and seabears it looks like. Their usernames appear red and it says it on their profile. Looks like it just isn't as easy to see the info anymore like it was on the last site.

Now just set their profiles to "Ignore User" and they can't bug you ever again.
