RamblinMan99
Alex Highsmith is far better and he's finally getting his chance. 12 snaps against Dallas: sack, tackle for loss, 3 solos, and one pressure. First game against Baltimore, he has his first career interception off of the reigning NFL MVP. We had to wait 4 years for Bud Dupree to start playing at that kind of level. Highsmith's a rookie and already looks like he's been in the league for 15 years.

We’ll see when he has to carry a work load the rest of the year.

3rivers
Dupree did take over 4 years to really get going, but he started to put it together and with his range and athleticism he could keep getting better and be a real threat . Highsmith appears more ready early on but will he get to the same level that Dupree got to is something time will tell. I gotta say, the INT sure was a good one 👏 Effort is no concern with Highsmith, it's just a matter of learning how to win these battles, does he have enough technique and moves to win in the trenches? I thought Ola would get a chance, but he will most likely be the OLB 3 to spell both Watt and Highsmith. If teams slide protection to Watt, then Highsmith needs to make them pay for that and get the FF . Of course, this will only help on defence, it does nothing for the fumblers on offence and the WR's dropping passes.
