For us, 4 competent but beatable teams left on the schedule. Ending the year 3-1 puts us in the driver's seat for the #2 seed with an outside shot at the #1.

We've got:

@Lions

Panthers

Titans

@Bears

Two division road games and a Titans team we match up terribly against.

+++

The Saints have:

@Eagles

Chiefs

Vikings

@Panthers

Good chance they lose to the Chiefs. Assuming we drop 1 more game, we need them to find another loss if we want the Bye. Best bet probably comes from the Vikings.

+++

Coming for our #2 seed is the Rams and Seahawks. Luckily they play each other once more.

Rams have:

Patriots

Jets

@Seahawks

Cardinals

Three loseable games left. A loss to the Patriots and a win against Seattle would be picturesque

+++

Seahawks have:

Jets

@Washington

Rams

@49ers

The Rams game obviously sets the stage, but this is the easiest schedule remaining. Hopefully Washington continues looking competent and the 49ers have too much pride to fully embrace the tank.

+++

We have the tie-breaker over New Orleans in a straight up head to head same record tie. Things always get screwed up though when you get three teams, so let's focus on making sure these NFC West teams each find at least one loss.

Ideally we would see:

1. GB 12-4 (Get that bye)

2. NO 12-4 (Pretty much has to be here)

3. Rams: 11-5 (I'd much rather play the Seahawks than the Rams, so lets make sure we get one of Rams and Bucs knocked out immediately)

4. Giants: 6-10 for the lulz (Washington's DL scares me a little, but ultimately these teams are all bad)

5.  Seattle: 11-5 (Ideal round 2 opponent)

6. TB: 9-7 (See comment about Rams)

7. Vikings 8-8 (Hopefully they pull a repeat of last year and knock out the Saints.)

The TN game has to be the living embodiment of the "all gas no brake"
- they've 29th in the league in passing defense - giving up 274yds per game.
- they're 31st in the league in sacks with 14 total.
- they're 16th in the league in rushing defense - giving up 116yds per game.

We're sweating bullets what Henry's gonna do to us - well, the best defense against Mr. Henry is passing them stupid and running up the score. Take his rushing attempts off the board.

So - dont be running the ball on 2nd & 10 - pass it.
Pass it at every opportunity and keep scoring.

If Baker Mayfield can light them up - we sure can - and should.

ALL gas. No brake.

Agree with the above - but think we *should* run the table   -   especially if we remain golden COVID19-wise and dont suffer a Baltimore or Pittsburgh-like infestation  -  or  -  our scheduled opponent doesnt. Its too late in the season to have to be playing Tues/Weds games and experiencing short weeks to get the games in.

Totally agree on this strategy.   Against this team, pass them to oblivion ... let Rodgers throw to the wr's, te's and rb's all game long.  Score on them and take Henry and his running right out of the game by playing having to play catchup threw the air which our D would like.

still more afraid of Rams than anyone else in NFC

They are a complete team. It depends on which Goff you get but even him playing a decent game means they will put pressure on you. Playoffs will be a gauntlet, as they are supposed to be but the Rams can play with anyone.

Everyone complains that GB needs weapons... I wonder what everyone thinks of the WRs in New England.

They have been brutal at drafting them the last 10 years.

Gunner Olszewski looking good though. I guess he was in Min and then went to NE PS.  Jared Veldheer retired so they brought him up.

N’Keal Harry is the only high pick they’ve spent at WR recently. And snagging Edelman as a 7th round QB is diabolical.But yeah, they’ve been better at identifying guys other teams toss aside or can’t use correctly. Very good pro scouting, suspect draft evaluations.

The Pats know they have too much dead money to be a contender this year, so they told a bunch of vets to opt out and we will see what kind of tricks the devil has up his sleeve next season.

Rams might be the most complete team in the NFC despite having Goff at QB. Definitely looks like the Saints, Rams and Packers as the top 3 headed into the last month of the season. All the more reason why getting one of the top 2 seeds in the NFC is very important if we want a chance this year. I could see us winning on the road against the Saints or the Rams if needed, but not both. Need to jump the Saints for the one-spot, or at worst, hold onto the 2nd seed to ensure us at least 2 home games before the NFCCG.
