I could also see a situation where LaMelo has a MCW rookie season and wins the award.

I could easily see him doing 12/5/5 on high efficiency this year and I think, with this class, that might be enough. Just depends on whether or not they go with the, as you said, MCW bulk stats or if they go the Malcolm Brogdon route.

Honestly now that I think about it I don't even think LaMelo will have a chance to put up MCW bulk stats playing with Rozier, Graham, and Hayward. It's still hilarious how hard ESPN is pimping him when he's 3-15 FG, 2-9 3FG, with 6 assists and 7 TO through 2 preseason games. The way they talk about him you'd think he's the next LeBron James. Man, we already know where I stand on LaMelo. Don't feel the need to rehash that. He'll fizzle out eventually. I just think that, if Haliburton can get a consistent 26-30 minutes, there's no way he doesn't put up a line similar to 12/5/5. He put up 11/7/6 in the preseason game that he got 30 minutes. He's just too advanced as a player to take a backseat to anyone else in this class this year IMO.

I still can't believe the Bulls passed on him for Patrick Williams and the Knicks passed on him for Obi Toppin.
