Why would it mean that we have little faith in Littleton or Kwit? Littleton is a WLB who's best attribute is his coverage ability, Kwit is an inside linebacker. KJ Wright is a SLB with experience in the system. Outside of Littleton, Morrow, and Kwit our LB's are Muse (6'2" 220), White (6'2" 215), and Deablo (6'2" 225) who are all safety converts that have never played in the NFL and don't really have the size to set the edge in the running game.

Wrong....White played in 3 games last year

Because Wright is unlikely to come cheap and we have already got a heavy investment in our LBs, with Kwit, Littleton and Morrow. Literally makes no sense paying 4 LBs good money when only 2 LBs will be on the field the vast majority of the time.

I understand that argument and think it could easily happen that way.  Just very frustrating that Wright might take a deal closer to Morrow and Kwiat and would easily be our best LB and be able to replace any LB that we have.

well of course he is going to make a choice lol

Played for the Seahawks, visited the Raiders, let’s throw in “another team” in case it isn’t one of those two so we can say we were right lol

Watch him settle for $1 million with us.  Every year there are a couple signings that you see and your first reaction is I would have given them that just so they would not play for that team.  Maybe Wright is that guy this year.

Good money? Doubt it'd be a very big contract and Morrow is already hurt plus the staff doesn't seem to like Kwit in this scheme. How much does his cap hit really matter if it's a one year deal? Are we going to need it mid-season?

Kwit is currently a backup under our new defensive staff behind Tanner Muse.

Morrow had the best numbers last year ..and PFF voted him out best LBer...only thing Kwit did was mad some tackles 5 DAMN YARDS DOWN FIELD..look up how many tackles he had for loss it was a joke

Just admit you were just runin your mouth

I said Javin White has never played the position before, he played 12 snaps at LB for us last season after being a CB/S in college. If you think 12 snaps is enough to justify an UDFA that played a different position in college will be a solid piece for us then you must really have faith. Even if White is the most incredible LB we've ever seen after he got to play 12 snaps at the spot last season, he's still too small to play SLB or set the edge in the running game, he's like 210 pounds.
