Looking at Texas A & M who lost to Bama by 28 but with a quality win 3 point win over #8 Florida

Cinci who is undefeated but best quality win was a 3 point win over 23 ranked Tulsa Eh

ND with a quality win over Clemson but without Trevor Lawrence and 21 point loss with him.

I'm going to throw in someone who should now get more recognition which is Indiana. Wins over Penn State, Michigan, Wisconsin and only a 7 point loss to Ohio State.

My pick is going to be Indiana actually. It's really close between Texas A & M and ND but 28 point loss to Bama is worse than a 21 point loss to Clemson IMO. Slight edge for #5 over Texas.

And Cinci just doesn't have the quality wins over any real ranked opponent.

If you had two losses you might as well kiss your chances goodbye IMO.

In what way is a win over Michigan or Penn State nothing more than beating a high brand named team that were awful in 2020?

Those wins aren't really any better than TAMU or ND against mid tier SEC or ACC teams.

Nice close loss, but to the least dominant of the top 3 (Alabama,  Clemson, Ohio State)

And they are also without their stud QB, that led them to all of those ‘quality’ wins, and close loss

Your post was fine, up until this point.  You mention two losses being a kiss goodbye, and then you mention Texas with their 3 losses.

It's still a team who's a lock for the playoffs and always in the discussion for the playoffs most years.
