roger murdock
This is a cool toy but I barely follow CFB outside OSU cause we are good now and I dont need to scout for our franchise savior anymore. Seriously I know the guys on Alabama, Ohio State, and some on Clemson. Thats it. I used to know 100+ players pretty well every draft. Crazy. I probably cant name 15 prospects this year.

It’s where I will be if we keep winning the next few years. Once we have to pay guys, you’ll probably pay more attention, but it depends on a lot of factors. Like whoever we draft I'll be like 'oh cool is he good' rather than insanely hyped (Like I was with Baker, TRich, Wills, Garrett, Ward) or extremely pissed (Like I was with Weeden, Manziel, etc) It just feels so nice that drafting well has finally paid off. It has to some extent, but not nearly across-the-board to the point of making the draft complementary. Just look at Williams, Delphin and Forbes. We would be a different team at this moment and better suited to advance if they were available.

Lorenzo Neal DT Purdue Zaven is really good, but I'm nervous about the tweener fit for a first round 4-3 LB. I understand Browning is a very polarizing prospect on these boards. I take it you're a huge fan? If these two LB's hit, we're set there. I'm a bit nervous about waiting so long for DE and CB, though, as I could see those positions picked clean by our first third rounder even. Zamir White RB Georgia Idt Monty rice fixes our LB issue but surtain has legit all pro ability basham plays the run well and can get after the QB, Nixon is rising, and hufunga is your sneaky safety who just makes plays and could in a pinch play up in the LB spot on run downs

I'm a bit nervous about waiting so long for DE and CB, though, as I could see those positions picked clean by our first third rounder even. I think Collins has a great skill set with excellent size and I think he is an all-around player. He can cover and I think he can both defend the run and rush the passer. I suspect he is going to be a great LB in the NFL. As far as Browning goes I think he is also a three down starting LB and between he a Collins it fixes that position group for a long time. I am not sure he is the best tackler, but still better than what we have been working with. I think he is pretty good in coverage as well, which again would be an improvement. When I was using the draft tool, I did not see available any Edge or CB that would have been better choices. Tyron needs some work but I think he has the tools and will be good with some NFL coaching. Sanders also has the tools and the few games I saw he sure does not ever seem to quit on a play, which is something I like in a player. I think both Molden and Vincent will be good players and would improve our defensive backfield. They would provide good depth if nothing else. I am not as high on Paris Ford as some but if we could get him where I have him drafted I think he would be good value and could develop.

I think it's reasonable that we sign a starting LB in the off-season as well.

I said this in the draft thread as well but another LB i would look at would be Jayron Brown or Rashad Evans from Tennessee, one of them is probably not getting paid
