    • Don't rest anyone. Play it like it means something.

    • Rest anyone dealing with nagging injuries. Play the rest of the starters as normal.

    • Preseason game it. Human Victory Cigar vs The Love Machine

If it boils down to GB vs CHI game and if CHI still in playoff hunt...

90% of the time football gods favor the team which is playing for the playoff spot vs team which is playing for seeding..

Pray that Chicago looses next week.

Jax has the 1st overall pick and finally looked like a team that had given up. The levels of tanktitude will only get more serious from here. Probably will have the whole PS out there.

The game with Chi will be meaningful, more to them than us but we need to be ready to win these next two weeks.

I bet it's actually less than 45%

Too bad we don't have one of those nerdy computer ninjas like the stock characters on the criminal investigation shows that rattle the keyboard for three seconds to locate plot advancing trivia.

Here. Let me rattle the keyboard...

League-wide the numbers are 44.9% (Incog: "Yesss!")

For Green Bay, though, we lose 91% of the games we play in that scenario. (Jaire_Island: "Booyah!")

I don't think we lock up the #1 seed if we go Loss, Loss if Seattle wins.

And I suspect we can still get the #1 seed if we go Win, Loss depending on other week 17 results.

Late to the party but the scenarios are:

Lose to Titans, beat Bears - Clinch #1 seed no matter what
Beat Titans, lose to Bears - Clinch #1 seed if Seahawks lose to Rams or 49ers (if Seahawks win both we fall to #2 seed - #3 seed if Saints win out)
Lose to Titans and Bears - Clinch #1 seed if Seahawks lose to Rams or 49ers, Rams lose to Seahawks or Cardinals, Saints lose to Vikings or Panthers (fall to #2 seed if one of these don't happen - #3 seed if 2 of those don't happen)

Taking things easy when a bye isnt locked in is a recipe to get knocked out in the first round. How is this even a discussion

Yeah this isn't a discussion anymore once it was determined there's a statistical benefit to winning this game (i.e. it's possible to get #1 seed beating Tennessee but losing to Chicago)

Bottom Line:

If Seattle wins:

  • GB has a 74% chance of winning #1 seed heading into SNF
  • GB has a 79% chance of winning #1 seed if they beat Tennessee
  • GB has a 65% chance of winning #1 seed if they lose to Tennessee

If LA wins:

  • GB has an 87% chance of winning #1 seed heading into SNF
  • GB clinches #1 seed if they beat Tennessee
  • GB has a 65% chance of winning #1 seed if they lose to Tennessee

The game matters. You play to win, clearly.

If Seattle wins, it doesn't really matter. The 14% gain we'd get in the odds is essentially the odds that SEA loses week 17 to the dead Chris Mullens lead SF team, which isn't happening.

Looking at the schedule, unless craziness happens, we need to win week 17 (which, we'll probably be 5 point favs, or a 65% chance at winning).
