RamblinMan99
Tomlin has been the problem for a long time. We should have fired him years ago. It's the half-*** mentality he brings to a football team. He's the absolute master at bringing a team to a point where they're leagues ahead of everybody else in a season or a single game, and just blowing it all up due to inexcusable complacency. It's really funny for like the first couple of games that he's a legitimate head coach in the NFL, but it really pisses you off when he's been this way for years. Love how people are saying Ben's the problem after one bad game. A month ago, they were saying that he was quietly having an MVP season. Now, they totally want to throw him in a dumpster fire (and it's really just because they don't like him personally). If last season taught you anything, it's that we desperately need Ben. We surely need him a lot more than we ever needed salt-brain Tomlin. Everybody always uses the excuse "But, he's never had a losing season." Newsflash: every season you miss the playoffs is a losing season. Doesn't matter whether or not you were at or above 500. It's no different than the high school student who won the perfect attendance award or the president that never had any scandals. At the end of the day, that's a half-assed individual. That's Tomlin. jrry32
Ben's physical decline is definitely a big part of the problem.

The passing offense is so easy to defend because they can't play the entire field. If the Steelers are smart, they walk from Ben after the season. Chunk of change that is dead, but its' better to move on now than to extend him and try to stretch the hits out, which is honestly what I Think that they are going to do. 1 year extension with two voidable years on the back end. They'll end up converting 16M or so of his base and roster bonus to signing bonus, lower his cap hit from 41 to about 29.

This game against Cincinnati was bad for him. The two games before that? His receivers suddenly forgot how to catch the football. Ben has had to learn how to get rid of the football right after the snap, and he's adapted very well to that if you look at the whole season. Trust me, he's far from being our problem. Buffalo also adjusted to squat on the short passing game. Defenses have caught on to your offensive limitations. Ben is either going to have to threaten them down the field, or you're going to have to find a consistent running game.

Ben's last 5 games: 142/225 63.1% 1195 yards 5.3 YPA 8 TDs 6 Ints 77.5 PR The fact that he's averaging 5.3 yards per attempt and hasn't had a game where he averaged over 6 yards per attempt in the last 5 games indicates to me that Ben is indeed part of the problem.

Father time is undefeated, so yeah. 37 year old QBs with an injury history is going to decline. Ignoring that is ignoring how aging works.

One of the lowest average depth of targets as well. He's becoming Drew Brees without the ability to ball out in the short passing game. Period of adjustment for sure.

Hypertension is a serious condition, but does it impact the brain to where you make bad decisions and a 37 year old QB is completely blameless to said decisions? I mean - this is BIG. We might need a Task Force to figure this one out.
Apparition
Okay, so you've said Tomlin is the problem but have offered no examples of how that's the case.
