Carr is definitely a starting QB, but I remain enticed about the added dimension of Mariota’s dual threat in an offense with vertical weapons like Waller and Ruggs. Let’s not forget schematically, Mariota eases run defenses against Jacobs.

Him going against Eric Rowe is a key matchup. I’m a little surprised the Dolphins didn’t throw one of their expensive CBs on that matchup.

But Carr is a much, much better QB.
