Hell, if we could draft a Derek Carr in the second or a Cousins in the fourth I'd gladly take it. That's all this offense needs in all honesty. Wilson was like 2010 or 11. I just meant the last five or so. It's been awwwwwwwwful. There's a weird strong non first round qb record from like 2010-2014, and then for whatever reason it completely fell apart
Forge
I'm not ready to hand gun the keys to a third lb role, but he's got physical talent. His football iq is what I worry about

Just pick a dude in the sixth, sign Matt schaub and pray that Jimmy weak body can hold up. Playing to win now Honestly don't have a feel one or the other. We could go top 5 QB or no QB at all. Wouldn't be shocked either way.

Get the guy you want. I wish the Bengals were up there in the top three. That's been rough. But the Jets, Dolphins, and Falcons might also listen to offers. I like Zach Wilson for the same reason that I think that the coaching staff does, but I'd love Fields, too. His processing speed is a concern, but man, it doesn't matter if you can bomb away, make plays off structure, and add a dangerous element in the run game. Heck, I like Trey Lance for the same reasons. Just get one of the top guys if possible. If not, arm Jimmy G. Get him DeVonta Smith or Kyle Pitts or similar. Our receivers may be in and out of the lineup, but if there's enough of them, we'll always have 2 or 3 nasty weapons on the field at a time. Kind of hard to load up on a couple slants when every guy is a threat and you can't ignore guys like Kendrick Bourne. There's a lot of fun twitchy edge guys later to be Dee Ford-esque. And you can probably MacGyver the corner situation. But the offense needs to be more consistent and explosive and the defense needs a threat opposite Nick Bosa. It just opens everything else up for the front.

What is the likelihood of Bourne returning next season? 20%? Too high?

Marvin Jones is like the tenth best guy available right now lol If a bunch of wrs sign before market, the chances of us bringing him back go down, but I could easily see him taking through the cracks and taking a one year deal to try again next season

This is exactly what I want to avoid .. Go all in, or go all out. Commit to trying to win with Jimmy and putting the best you can around him for this year, or just move on. Second round qb is a half measure type move. I hate it. I suppose we will get that pick at the end of the third, so I wouldn't hate hate it there I suppose, especially with a pick right after in the 4th. I expect us to sign schaub, or maybe Mike glennon or something I wouldn't mind drafting Mac Jones on day two.

Throws a nice ball, but his last two games have shown some concerns against pressure for sure (well, second half against ND) but if you're going to do it in round 2, drop Jimmy, trade for Darnold & draft Jones or Trask. All in / all out. Day 2 is a guy that can immediately contribute and we don't have the money to find those guys through free agency. If you're going to keep Jimmy, you have to be fair to him
J-ALL-DAY
It was actually funny listening to Cohn say Ahkello played terrible because he allowed the late TD to Lockett lol. That route is pretty impossible to defend unless he starts out with inside leverage. Perfect play call against man where they cleared the entire side of the field for the crosser.

Yeah, will be interesting to see what he does. Seattle will definitely give him a offer and Saleh may want to bring him along with him.
