We Got Snacks

Teams were like, “So what?  If we play the Packers in the playoffs we will just run it on them 30 times.  Pettine’s DL can’t hold up based on his expectations of them.  What’s gonna happen, Tyler Lancaster is gonna beat people?  All we gotta do there is let Z and P get upfield and then play off their complete lack of fundamental run defense.”

Then we signed Harrison and now they’re like, “****.”

I really think this is Gute’s defining move.

Content with working out the defensive kinks, then throw a 325+ man in there for the playoff run.

We’re winning the ****ing Super Bowl.

If this was a FA signing for more than our playoff run, i would agree. But thats all this is; Snacks just wants to win a ring. This is the most interesting part of the Snacks saga to me. He basically hand picked the Seahawks mid season im assuming because he thought they were the most likely to get back to the bowl. I like to think he quit the seahawks because he knew they didnt have what it takes after several weeks of playing with them.

I can't trust a guy like that to give me his all in a playoff run. That's my problem. Guys like that don't help you get a comeback win, because the game already ended in their mind.

Tyler Lancaster and Damon Harrison are basically the same guy at this point. This isn't a team transforming move. It's a back end of the roster DL addition.

I think Snacks brings an extra dimension but Lancaster has been quietly doing his job and has some quality snaps these past few weeks. Nothing eye popping but NT doesn’t usually make it on Sportcwnter.

He’s replacing Rush on the 53 so he is definitely an upgrade.  If he can get his role down he could help the rotation ~15 snaps a game and keep KC fresh and Lancaster in as a reliever. Hopefully a 4 game merc that can help us get to the top of the mountain.
