They can't really control Chip agreeing and then backing out.

Isn't their job to get the information before anything is announced? Is that not why people pay money to frequent these sites? Our insiders have been trash for the past few years but it's gotten a whole lot worse in the last two years.

I also think there's a lot of false hope around the Florida program lately but maybe that's my pessimism as a lifelong fan who is starting to accept the reality of where we're at as a football team.

You just gave us the cause of the problem. If he agrees but backs out before it's announced, what can they do?

That's what people pay for though - their job is to get the information prior to anything coming out. If they couldn't figure it out before it was announced on SI or wherever then they have failed as insiders. The UCLA insiders seemed to have an idea of what was going on but ours still insisted he was coming to Florida. Just seems like a group of guys not doing their jobs, IMO.

Well, this is bittersweet news. Fields wanted to be a Gator, but Nuss screwed the pooch and didn't give him the time of day. Mullen didn't have enough time to fix that incompetence. Bitter news because we'd love to have Fields. Sweet news because Nuss and Shannon are no longer here to screw things up.

We just gave Trey Sanders' brother a preferred walk-on spot.

It seems like he really enjoys coming to the campus and plans to revisit with his mother. Surely, having the brother on the team should give us the edge here.
