ESPN's current CFB theme is not memorable

I feel ESPN is trying too hard with their current CFB theme - which is also heard on ABC telecasts.

It is not nearly as memorable as the theme used by ESPN from 1992-99 (and in various re-recorded forms from 2000-12, though the 1992 version is the best). Also better than the current theme? ABC's themes from 1990-93, 1994-96, and 1997-2005, as well as the theme they started using for bowl games in 1998.

It's time for ESPN to ditch the current theme and go back to using their 1992 theme for broadcasts on ESPN's cable and streaming platforms, the 1990 ABC theme for noon games on that network, the 1994 and 1997 ABC themes for 3:30 games on that network, and the 1998 ABC bowl theme for Saturday Night Football.

In contrast, CBS still uses their classic CFB theme. It's the same theme they have used since 1987. No wonder CBS games often outperform those on Disney platforms in the ratings.
