Vladimir L
I wonder what teams like the Giants, 49ers, Falcons, Detroit, Football team and maybe the Dolphins they are a good team but hold a very high pick and Tua hasnt looked great. Jags its obvious and with the Jets we dont know if its a coaching issue or qb issue. New coach prob will want a new qb to buy 2-3 years to rebuild. 49ersfan
I'm far from an expert and i may be wrong and/or change my mind, but this is my current thinking. Option A - Trade for Sam Darnold, have him sit behind Jimmy G as depth/competition. Option B - Draft Trey Lance, have him sit behind Jimmy G for a year Option C - Draft one of Justin Fields or Zach Wilson (either though trade up or sticking at our own pick), trade Jimmy G (Pats?) We won't have a chance at Lawrence, and i'm not sure if Shanny will like Trask or Jones in the draft. Not sure if there's any other QB's worthwhile besides the 6 listed I don't think we'll go the veteran route, either by trade or FA. Think Stafford, Ryan, Rivers. They'll require resources like high draft picks and/or lots of cap space while having a limited shelf life. Obviously if we win a SB its worth it, but i'd rather stop with the bandaids and get a long-term option.
candyman93
Washington should draft a guy very similar to Alex Smith.
Forge
49ers aren't qb "needy"...their current qb situation is the nfl equivalent of the Facebook "it's complicated" relationship status

Washington is the one team I believe should fully be in on someone like Stafford. If there is another vet available that's still competent, I think that team becomes a good team in the nfc with that defense.

Mac Jones also seems nfl ready gets the ball out quick and you wont have to trade up for him. Edited January 2, 2021 by Vladimir L
