pf9
Since both pairs of teams share the same stadium, why not have the teams split the ticket sales when they are facing each other in these stadiums? For such games, the fans for each team would be divided along the 50-yard-line, like in some college rivalries (OU-Texas comes to mind). pf9
Each team would also have one end zone painted in its logo/colors (like in college bowl games and the Super Bowl)
Forge
If you were scheduled to be the home team, why would you agree to this?
Jakuvious
Splitting rev would only work if it were two games a year. Otherwise you'd have one team getting 7.5 games of revenue and the other getting 8.5.

The teams are sharing the stadium anyway. I mean there's probably been instances of Jets fans purchasing tickets for games against the Giants through the Giants, and vice versa. But you're then unnecessarily sharing the revenue and technically giving up "half" a home game with regards to competition

Freeman McToon
Tangential thought: While I don't agree with the op's idea, I do wish the NFL had an inter-conference rivalry week(or border wars if an inter-conference matching doesn't work). Yep, along the lines of college football's rivalry week. So there'd be an annual battle of NYC, PA, TX, FL, CA (2X), MD, The Mojave Desert (AZ vs LV). That's all I can think of for now but the rest of the matchups can be decided by someone with a higher paycheck than me lol. Do it maybe week 8 or 9 as a mid-season treat for the fans. And I'm aware many of these matchups occur in the preseason but I'm not too concerned with a preseason game removing the luster from a regular season game that'll both matter in the standings and determine annual bragging rights for the locals. Besides I think it would add another game that brings the same passion (in some cases it would take a few years to really develop - not Jets vs Giants though) to the table as division rivalries. Just a thought and couldn't hurt to try.
SkippyX
Now think about this idea again but with the 17 game season...
