Week 17 - GDT - Saints (11-4) @ Panthers (5-10)

The final week of the regular, and tumultuous season has arrived, and nothing is certain.

This is arguably one of the most exciting finishes to the regular season that we've experienced in years.
The Packers (#1), Saints (#2), and Seahawks (#3) all have a chance to do some interesting leap frog work.

If the Packers win, they're #1 no matter what. If they lose, then things get interesting. The Saints AND the Seahawks would need to win for the Saints to grab the #1 seed, due to the 'hawks holding the tie breaker over the Packers. We'll either know our fate at about halftime of today's at Green Bay's halftime, or it could be a late night tonight.

What we know about our team today: The entire RB corps is out due to Kamara's covid test and the close contact rule with contact tracing. CJG and Swearinger are also out with Covid. Asside from that, we're playing with a skeleton crew. We still have damaged or missing receivers, and it'll be our first week since week 7 without Kwon Alexander.

About the Panthers: Teddy knows our playbook, and he's been playing well. Fortunately they're limited in playmakers, so we should still have a chance to play a grinder of a game and possibly win.

We all know that the Brass will be watching the outcome of the Green Bay game (even though they'll tell us otherwise) and that will dictate our game today.

A positive spin - Our RB's and a few other players will get a chance to rest up for next Sunday's playoff game. Hopefully we keep the #2 (at least) and play a home game.

Regardless of what happens with this game and the other games, this is the last regular season game Drew Brees will be the New Orleans Saints QB. I think we've been incredibly lucky to have a QB like him leading our team since 2006. It's been an absolute pleasure to watch his career.

Agreed crazy to think this is the last regular season game for the most important Saints player in the history of this franchise

No they have gone down hill since last game. Not much to play for at this point for them. Not having McCaffrey really took it's toll on them. They lost a bunch of 1 score games where he may have been the difference for them. Think he would have really helped Bridgewater out too.

Don't hate me, but if by half time GB has the lead I'd sit Brees and any injury risks. I DO NOT want Brees to hurt his ribs if he keeps taking shots like that. Like wtf O-line.

Green Bay isn't looking too hot. Chicago is hanging right in there with them. Of course, we know Rogers will explode in the 3 quarter (if not 2nd) and so on.
