Saints QB Drew Brees expected to retire

The leaguewide expectation is that #Saints  QB Drew Brees will officially retire after the season is over, per @AdamSchefter. Brees signed a broadcasting deal with NBC in April, and after going through a season that included 11 fractured ribs, Brees is likely done playing.

Great QB, and absolutely amazing career. First Ballot Hall of Famer. 
 

They could trade for Wentz, Darnold, or Carr if he’s available. Carr fits Payton’s offense like a glove. 
 

Payton would probably turn any single one of those three guys into a stud.

Wonderful player. Future HOF. Wish him all the best in retirement. Actually looking forward to seeing him in a booth, I think that could be a good fit.

They need to clear about $90M in cap space first. Just to get under the new cap.

Too short. Weak arm. Work ethic was off the charts though.
