Playing behind a dilapidated line against the fiercest pass rush in the NFL with a group of inexperienced receivers. No one lights up Washington. They are one of the leagues best defenses. AFlaccoSeagulls 5,946
Whatever the Colts did to get Andrew Luck. Also, the Jaguars willingly started Mike Glennon for 4 games this year.

11sanchez11 2,735
the fact this was a big deal is hilarious to me and the giants players reacting to it was also hilarious
checkcola 53
The issue with tanking in NBA is you are talking about each team playing 82 games and the product as it stands is unwatchable with blowouts given the tactics have moved to more jacking up of 3s, so if teams are tanking and the amount of games needed to lose, it makes for a truly horrible product. Its different in the NFL where you can still feature very big time matchups and close games. The passing game is never going to be as ugly as the 3 point tactic in NBA, as well. Maybe he didn’t want Jalen to get hurt and had he said that would it make it any better?
Yin-Yang 2,947
They would’ve put Wentz back in to guarantee the L, tbh.

And what good would that have done to keep Jalen in there? So what....take him down the same path as they did with Wentz??? For what? A meaningless game? Now THAT doesn't make any sense. 18 minutes ago, SmittyBacall said: 58 minutes ago, JAF-N72EX said: Pederson also said in the presser that he wanted to get Sudfield some PT Sounds like preplanning a tank, to be honest. Letting a player miss out on thousands of dollars in a meaningless game is an even worse precedent to set. Good luck getting any FA players. Isn’t it kind of the same thing? It isn't though. Steelers benched Ben at the start of the week and gave Rudolph the reps. Eagles waited until it was a 3-point game in the 4th quarter to bench Hurts. And they did it for a QB who clearly wasn't prepared to be out there. One case is of a team genuinely resting a player to protect his health. The other is a case of a team making it clear the efforts of the starters in the first 3 quarters was all for nothing.
AngusMcFife 311
The Eagles should be forced to forfeit that 1st round pick they tanked for. That'll set a good precedent.

This is a lame cold take. Lots of teams rested players or pulled players. The optics look bad but there are no penalties for it.
