Dead cap is what kills you. Paying players who are not on the team major money is literally just waste. 30 million in 2022 cap was spent last offseason. dll2000 Posted January 5, 2021 Share Posted January 5, 2021 I don't think Quinn being a bust is set in stone. He was one of best defenders in league in 2019. A lot of people didn't think 2020 season was going to happen and didn't train accordingly. A lot of times players don't train adequately in their free agent year. I wanted to keep Floyd on a 1 year prove it deal (13M) but I wasn't against the Quinn signing and I don't think anyone saw him declining as much as he has this season. That means in 2022 no matter what happens the Bears will have 10% less cap space than they should. Should we allow him to spend even more of the 2022 cap space?
