When you're rejected for being too small but you're bigger than the best DT in the NFL

He's no Aaron Donald, but Mike Daniels and Dominique Easley were quite similar and played well on Sundays (when Easley is healthy). Hurst will be a player, but he'll likely be unfairly slept on in the draft. Hell, even Donald was after putting up arguably the best combine numbers ever for his position.

But you're also proving the other person's point here. Donald wasn't even a top 10 pick despite everything he had going for him.

Didn't intend to necessarily compare him to Donald because Donald is a freak, but the idea is the same. Don't have to be a giant to be a good DL in the NFL. The Mike Daniels comparison is pretty good. Either way, his size won't limit him. It will more than likely help him, really.

Also, eh. NFL made that mistake before, they likely won't vastly underate a DT again just because he's a tiny bit smaller than the norm. Also, his point relies on Hurst being 6'0" 280, which isn't a real thing. Hurst is probably closer to 6'2" 300.

They seem to do it annually. NFL teams aren't the best at making adjustments like that.

Last DT they made that mistake with was Grady Jarrett.

You figure after Geno Atkins, Aaron Donald, and Grady Jarrett that they wouldn't overlook the 'undersized' DTs anymore.  Jarrett shouldn't have dropped to the 5th...

Still haunts me that the Lions traded away a 3rd to go get Gabe Wright instead of Jarrett.

Nah, they don't learn on things like that.

I feel like the same thing will happen to Steven Richardson from Minnesota, too.

And the Bengals shoudn't have taken Hardison over Jarrett either

Catch-all threads actually suppress forum discussion.  Posters don't want to sift through dozens of pages of random discussion to find the topic that they want to talk about.

???

Its the same topic, though.

If youre looking for something from a certain week, you dont have to sift through the entire thread....just find the dates from said week youre looking for.

Honestly, it would be a much better idea to have this all in one thread.    Just make a thread called "Who is impressing you?" and viola....you got everything in one central thread.

And it will get a couple replies a week.
