Trojan
Imagine being Jerry Jones and having recently had guys like Kris Richard and Matt Eberflus on your defensive staffs and just having an open vacancy at DC and Mike McCarthy as HC. I get the allure of having your HC be some offensive master, but if you are getting the dollar store version you should just keep your promising defensive coaches and promote them and then just lean on your young play callers like Kellen Moore to be the vision offensively. Scoundrel
When are they going to fire some of those underperforming defensive players...
Forge
Tomsula has been really good in the past.
SweetFancyMoses
Well deciding to switch to 3-4 with no offseason, and players that dont really fit a 3-4 defense will get you fired.

Cutting Jaylon Smith doesnt really make sense. It's pretty much negligible cap savings next year.

Is this why the D sucked so much or was losing players like Byron Jones huge? Did the actual playcalling stink too?
Calamity_Cometh
Their defense sucked so... someone was taking the fall for it. I won some money off of it at least.

It makes a lot of sense. Make him a June 1st cut and the team saves $5MM. We could find someone better (or slightly better at the very least) for that price. Be great if Jerry got fired as GM...

jrry32
I'm surprised Jim Tomfoolery is being cut loose. He has a history of being a phenomenal DL Coach. He should be in high demand.
